Update Firefox 10.0.6-1 pada Yellow Dog linux PS3

Firefox bawaan pada Yellow Dog Linux 6.2 yang ada di Konsole PS3 saya cuman versi 3.0, sebenarnya sih cukup stabil kalau cuma untuk browsing web yang kapasitasnya kecil. Tapi kalau untuk ngeblog terasa berat sekali dan sering ada peringatan "Anda menggunakan Browser lama, segera tingkatkan Browser anda.." juga sesekali suka ngecrash kalau dipakai terlalu lama. Untuk itu saya mencoba mengupdate ke versi 10.0.6-1 walaupun versi terbaru dari firefox sendiri sudah seventeen-an. Bukannya tidak mau update ke versi terakhir tapi karena repository untuk YDL 6.2 cuma menyediakan versi yang itu, dan Alhamdulillah berhasil. Berikut tutorial updatenya:

Buka terminal, lalu masuk root.

Lalu di root ketik perintah ini

Kalau anda melihat text seperti  di atas berarti penginstallannya berhasil dan untuk lebih meyakinkan bahwa firefox yang anda install adalah versi 10.0.6-1 ketik perintah di terminal seperti ini

firefox-10.0.6-1

Sekarang tinggal mencoba untuk browsing dengan langsung mengklik double ikon firefox dilayar.
